There are also options vPro options to assist with IT management. The processor options include Core i5 and Core i7 options, including up to a Quad-Core i7 Extreme processor option. The M4600 makes use of the new Sandy Bridge, 2nd Generation Intel Core i Family of processors. The bigger version, with more advanced graphics options is the Dell Precision M6600. The Precision M4600 is the entry level Dell mobile workstation, but there’s nothing entry level about the specs and features. From the reports of it, the general speed attainable is around 930Mhz.įor fan control on the M4600, you will want to use HWINFO and set the fans to Auto Custom. Not sure if Sapphire TRIXX is actually upping the Power Limit as my card would lock up at 900Mhz.
I tried MSI Afterburner first, but it wasn't working properly. Overclocked you can get pretty close to the speed of an HD 7770 2GB.įor overclocking, you will want to use Sapphire TRIXX. There is a modded vbios for it that allows for some more overclocking - higher TDP, voltage, and Power Limit.ĪMD FirePro M5100 overclocking - vBIOS mod (Dell Precision M4800) The BIOS doesn't know what it is, but it works anyway.
